Practice Philosophy

Dr. Matas success in this specialized area of surgery is a testament to his skills and expertise. Should you choose him, be confident that both he and his staff will provide answers to all of your questions and deliver the highest quality care you deserve. Dr. Mata has been in practice since 1982.

Practice Specialization

Dr. Matas name is synonymous with breast augmentation. He achieves spectacular results because of his insistence on using a periareolar approach and submuscular placement whenever possible. He is an artist when it comes to body remodeling. His specialty is all cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.

Surgical Facility

Dr. Mata does the majority of his surgery at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. The ambulatory surgery department is a completely new wing with state-of-the-art equipment. Dr. Mata is in the process of completing a new surgical room in his office for the added convenience of his patients.

Our office is located in the professional tower of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. We are just three hours from New York, an hour from Syracuse, and an hour from Scranton, PA. We can easily be reached by automobile, bus and the airport is a quick fifteen minutes away. Overnight accommodations near the hospital can be arranged if necessary.

Consultation

Patients will be given as much time and information as possible to make them comfortable with the procedure they have selected. Brochures and videotapes on a broad range of topics are readily available. The initial consultation is an in-depth evaluation and explanation of the proposed surgical procedure and is usually supplemented with written material. Dr. Mata allows time to answer your questions and appropriate photographs may be shown to illustrate relevant points.

Skin care is a priority in Dr. Matas office. After careful consideration, Dr. Mata prefers the Nu-Derm Skin Health Restoration System for helping restore skin to a healthy state, free of disease and deterioration. The system is also intended to bring the skin to an active and tolerant state so that it responds better to a rejuvenation or surgical procedure, heals faster, and is less likely to exhibit an undesirable post-procedure response.
