Practice Specialization

Dr. Mischnick has practiced in St. Louis , MO since 1979. She was a member of the Plastic Surgery Consultants group until July 1, 2005 when she established Fantastic Plastic Surgery and Skin Fitness. 

Her special clinical interests include:
• Breast Augmentation with Saline or Silicone filled breast implants

• Ultrasonic pulsating liposuction and SmartLipo (laser assisted liposuction)
• Vertical pattern approach to reduction mammoplasty
• Endoscopic approach to brow and mid facelift

These up to date surgical techniques make it possible to more completely and safely perform body contouring operations, complimenting both face and torso procedures.

Dr. Mischnick has enjoyed participating in the breast augmentation industry since 1979. Over these years the improvements in breast implants and surgical options have enhanced operative outcome as well as patient comfort and safety.

The initial consultation is an important step in the process of considering cosmetic surgery. Dr. Mischnick is committed to helping you become well informed about preparing for and recovering from cosmetic surgery. She will listen to your personal desires and goals and then explain available options by recommending a treatment or surgical procedure. She will discuss the expected outcomes and possible risks along with stages of the recovery process and necessary follow up visits.

Dr. Mischnick's office is equipped with the latest in skin care technology. Our facility is the first in the St. Louis area to have the Orion Harmony AFT system which is a better way to deliver thermal light energy through the epidermis. The Harmony helps diminish rosacea, pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, hair growth, and acne. It also helps repair mature sun damaged skin.

Our latest generation of microdermbrasion machine uses both aluminum oxide and organic buffing grains. Combining (layering) microdermabrasion with the Harmony AFT treatment followed by Cold Light therapy gives AWESOME results much quicker and more comfortably than the older generation IPL systems. Our skin care specialist can develop a layering treatment program for any type of skin. She works under the supervision of the doctor and coordinates skin care with surgical procedures.

Skin Care Products
We've selected product lines with higher quality of ingredients, that promote improvement in the skin, rather than merely covering up skin problems. We carry Kinerase, SeSderma (Spain), Lycogel Camoflage Make-up for normal & acne skin, and Jane Iredale Mineral Make-up for all skin types.
