Cancellation Policy
Refunds for meeting registration will not be considered unless a written request is mailed to the SPSSCS Central Office and postmarked by April 8, 2005. Refunds will be subject to a 10% administrative fee.

Continuing Education Credit for Nurses
Nurses can earn up to 20.4 contact hours by attending the entire meeting. Additional hours can be earned by attending the ASAPS Innovations in Facial Shaping Course on Friday, April 29. A completed evaluation form must be submitted for each session before contact hours will be issued.

Transportation (Air)
AMERICAN AIRLINES offers flights to New Orleans International Airport (MSY) from most major cities and connecting flights through their hubs at Dallas Fort Worth, Chicago – O’Hare or St. Louis. Guaranteed zone fares are based upon your departure city or 5% off lowest applicable fare or 10% off full coach fares. If booked and ticketed 30 days in advance of departure, you will receive:

  • 10% off applicable fares
  • 15% off Y type fares

Transportation (Ground)
Once you arrive in New Orleans, transportation via taxi or shuttle service is available to the Hilton New Orleans Riverside. Approximate travel time to the hotel is 20 minutes. Taxis are located outside the Baggage Claim area and the approximate fare from the New Orleans Airport is $28-$30. Shuttle service is available for $25 round trip and can be secured in the Baggage Claim area.

Welcoming Breakfast! This will be a wonderful opportunity for mentors and mentees to meet, as well as to interact with members of the Board of Directors. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment and facilitate long lasting professional relationships and friendships.

If you would like to serve as a “Mentor” or if you are a new member or first time attendee and would like to be a “Mentee,” please sign up on the Registration Form. Our administrative staff will pair everyone together and send notification to both the mentors and mentees explaining who their contact person is and how to meet them in New Orleans.

JazzFest
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, a.k.a. JazzFest, to be held April 22 – May 1, 2005, is a 10 day cultural feast of thousands of musicians, cooks and craftspeople. There are two main components: the Louisiana Heritage Fair and the Evening Concert Series. The Louisiana Heritage Fair takes place at the Fair Grounds Race Course, 10 minutes from the French Quarter and is the signature feature of the Festival showcasing unforgettable music on 12 stages. The Heritage Fair is held over the course of two weekends: Friday, April 22 - Sunday, April 24 and Thursday, April 28 - Sunday, May 1, 2005. Evening concerts are held at different locations during the 10 day Festival. Tickets go on sale in February when the complete list of musicians performing at the Jazz & Heritage Festival is announced.
